Engaging  performers to make decisions that evolve creative choices into recognizable human behavior.  Utilizing text as a jumping off place for an imaginative approach to the human comedy and drama. Transforming space and setting the tone and atmosphere for environmentally friendly theatrical production. All dependent on the good will and hard work of others.

The American University - Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria (1995-96)


Taught theater arts and directed theater events with international students from a variety of backgrounds. Workshops: New Bulgarian University (Sofia), Sliven Summer Theatre & University;  “We Shall Takeover Conference” (Sofia), and the Varna International Theatre Festival. 

Anadolu University – Eskisheir, Turkey (1994-95)

Guest Director: National Konservatuvari  for Music and the Performing Arts. Invitational production of Friedrich Durrenmatt’s  ”The Visit”:Istanbul International Theatre Festival.  

Institute of American Indian Arts – Santa Fe, NM (1990-92)

Established acting and playwrighting programs. Supervised the development and production of original plays highlighting Native American concerns (1990-92)

New Mexico State University (American Southwest Theatre Company)
Las Cruces, New Mexico (1986-87)

Guest Director/Exchange Program. Taught  theatre arts courses. Staged Main Stage & New American Playwrights Festival productions (1986-87).

Dowling College- Oakdale, New York (1968-86)
Associate Professor/Director of Theatre  

Established Loft Theatre.  Developed theatre and interdisciplinary curriculum. Staged  and toured theatre and mixed media events.

Street Theater Organizer.  Camera & sound work for film “I’m Here, Now!”  (Director: Bud Wirtshafter):   Lincoln Center Documentary Film Festival.
